Fans who attend bowling tournaments such as the Times-News Open will see bowling ball bags of various sizes and shapes scattered all around the lanes.

Evidence of that could be seen in Machugas switching to another ball when he was trailing leader T.J. Mitchell by 40 pins late in last weekends TN-Open semifinals and immediately throwing a 300 game that vaulted him into the lead and carried him to the qualifying championship.
